Upcoming Releases - July 26, 2015

A book entitled A Tree Like This, was written as part of Heather's recovery process and will be released July 2015 along with a paperback copy of her previous book, Spark - Audience Optional. With assistance, a reading from both books featuring the music of musician Danny G will be released soon as well as related merchandise.

Upcoming April Shows - March 29, 2015

April sees Heather at two fundraisers for great causes!

On April 4th she'll be at Down South Railhouse in Kyle, Texas for an acoustic duo set with Danny G opening for Lucas Cook at the Concerts for a Cause April event benefiting Hope and Love 4 kids.

On April 18th she'll be at Doghouse Drinkery for an afternoon of music and fun to celebrate their anniversary and raise funds for their great work with local canines.

2014: In The Studio and More - March 5, 2014

The first months of 2014 find Heather and band in rehearsal for 2 upcoming albums- a solo Jazz album this spring and a full band Roots/Americana album. Stay tuned for more info. 2014 will also see the previously delayed hard cover release of the poetry collection "Spark: Audience Optional", the first book of the "Greta Brighton" children's series, and numerous other projects.

Enchanted Cedar Featured Artist - February 1, 2014

Heather joins the Word Around Waco community at Enchanted Cedar for a special Valentine's performance and reading from her book Spark on Saturday, February 15th.

Join Heather and Band on Friday, July 5th, 6-9pm, as the Bullock Texas State History Museum kicks off the 10th season of their Music Under the Star series. Heather opens for Texas' treasured songwriter Butch Hancock.

Heather's essays, poetry, and short stories are currently featured and/or scheduled to be featured in several publications between June and September, while various music and writing projects continue.

Artist Jodie Copelin - June 21, 2013

Some time ago, Heather enjoyed modeling for a wonderful person and artist, Jodie Copelin, for a painting (entitled "Jael") that would become part of a larger artistic series. This painting and selected others are now for sale through Jodie's website.

New Book and Video; Cedric Burnside and More - December 20, 2012

Heather's book Spark: Audience Optional was published this week. Ebook available now, paperback available January 2013.
Also released this week was an informal video for Cool As You, a track from Trains and Revolutions, available on itunes and CDBaby.
Be sure to join Heather at Antone's on Friday 12/21 for a special show with The Black Squeeze, Old Gray Mule, and The Cedric Burnside Project. Special guests include Heather, The Sugarfoot Hustler dance troupe, and many more. Doors at 8pm.

Coming Soon - November 24, 2012

Just in time for the holiday season! Keep your eyes peeled for two new book titles. Heather's essay and poetry collection (Spark: Audience Optional) and the first title in her trio of children's books (Greta Brighton) will be available shortly. Her short story collection and cookbook are on target for release in 2013.

Nov 14th: Join Heather and the Band for a raucous night of sassy musical stories and more at the Penny Pub in San Angelo (formerly the Steel Penny Pub) with Charlie and Miles McMillan. You'll be glad you did!

100 Thousand Poets For Change - September 18, 2012

In conjunction with 100 Thousand Musicians for Change, Austin's participation in 100 Thousand Poets for Change will be 9/27 and 9/28 at Club 606, from 7:30-10pm. Heather will be performing at 9:45pm on 9/27. Be sure to join the festivities both nights!

Support literacy, economic and social change for artist today! Poets from around the world are simultaneously planning events to celebrate. The party is on us Sept. 27th & 28th.
